Who is St. Anne?புனித அன்னம்மாள் யார்?

According to ancient Christian tradition, Anne and her husband Joachim were the parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary. After long years without a child, their prayers were answered with the birth of Mary. The Church celebrates Sts. Joachim and Anne on July 26. நல்ல புனித அன்னம்மாளே, கன்னி மரியாவின் தாயே, எங்கள் மீட்பரின் பாட்டியே, நம்பிக்கையோடு உம்மிடம் வருகிறேன். குழந்தையில்லா இல்லத்தின் நீண்ட காத்திருப்பையும், இறைவன் பதிலளித்த மகிழ்ச்சியையும் அறிந்தவரே, என்மேலும் உம்மை நோக்கி மன்றாடும் அனைவர் மேலும் கனிவோடு கண்ணோக்கும்.

Good St. Anne, mother of the Virgin Mary and grandmother of our Saviour, I come to you with confidence. You who knew the long wait of a childless home, and the joy of God's answer, look kindly on me and on all who call upon you.

Take my needs into your motherly heart and present them to Jesus through your daughter Mary. Obtain for me the grace I now ask (mention your request), if it be for the glory of God and the good of my soul.

Teach me, as you taught Mary, to love the word of God, to trust in his promises, and to walk faithfully in his ways all the days of my life. Amen.

மகிமை நிறைந்த புனித அன்னம்மாளே, உம்மை நோக்கி மன்றாடுவோர் மீது இரக்கமும், துன்புறுவோர் மீது அன்பும் நிறைந்தவரே, என் துன்பங்களின் சுமையோடு உமது திருமுன் முழந்தாளிட்டு, என் இப்போதைய கருத்தை உமது தனிப் பாதுகாப்பில் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுமாறு தாழ்மையுடன் மன்றாடுகிறேன்.

அதை உம் மகளாகிய புனித கன்னிமரியாவிடம் ஒப்படைத்து, இயேசுவின் அரியணை முன் சமர்ப்பியும்; அவர் அதை நல்ல முடிவுக்குக் கொண்டுவருவாராக. என் விண்ணப்பம் நிறைவேறும் வரை எனக்காகப் பரிந்துபேசுவதை நிறுத்தாதேயும்.

O glorious St. Anne, filled with compassion for those who call upon you, and with love for those who suffer, I kneel before you, heavy with the weight of my troubles, and humbly ask you to take my present intention under your special protection.

Recommend it to your daughter, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and lay it before the throne of Jesus, so that he may bring it to a happy end. Do not cease to intercede for me until my request is granted.

Above all, obtain for me the grace one day to see my God face to face, and with you, Mary and all the saints, to praise and bless him for all eternity. Amen.

Pray one Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be. Recite for nine days, especially July 17–25 before the feast.
